How to Stop Auto Forward Emails in Outlook
The following instructions show you how to turn off auto forwarding email rules in Outlook. This will stop, turn off or disable emails being forwarded.
Learn which version of Outlook you have.
For Outlook version Office 19 / Office 365
I have Outlook 2019 / Office 365 on my machine, how do I remove an Auto Forward email in Outlook?
- With Outlook Open, select the File Tab

- Within the Info Section, select Manage Rules & Alerts

- Go to step 3
For Microsoft Outlook version Office 2016 / 2013 / 2010
I have Outlook 2016 or Outlook 2013 or Outlook 2010 on my machine, how do I remove an Auto Forward email in Outlook?
- Select the File tab

- In the Info section, click Manage Rules and Alerts

- Goto Step 3
For Outlook 2007
I have Outlook 2007 on my machine, how do I remove an Auto Forward in Outlook?
- Select the Tools menu,
- Choose Rules and Alerts from the list

- Go to step 3
For all versions of Outlook
- You will have the Rules and Alerts window in front of you.

You can choose to either disable the rule temporarily or delete it from the list.
To Disable auto forward email rule
Untick the check box next to the rule you no longer want to be active. This will temporarily disable the rule until you decide to enable it again.
To Delete auto forward email rule
Highlight the rule by selecting it, then click the Delete tool from the buttons available
